Surrender to the Beauty of the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces – Sept. 17, 2024

I’m having so many feelings about this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces tonight at 10:34 PM Eastern. I suppose that’s very appropriate for a lunation that’s super infused with the energy of Neptune.

Many are talking of the dramatic transformative energies of this Eclipse. Some see it as a portal. Others mention a paradigm shift. And while all of that is quite true, I’m feeling this energy as something shimmering and intangible that allows us a glimpse of the Sublime. A glimpse of something that is so filled with beauty that it inspires Awe. This is the highest possible vibration of both Pisces and Neptune, the planet that rules Pisces. This Eclipse can offer, if we open ourselves to it, at least a fleeting recognition of Self and Other as perfectly Divine.

Eclipses accelerate and intensify the energy that we occupy; the goals and achievements we’re working toward or longing for; the changes we want to make. I want to suggest that, if only for one night, we fully step into the dream and flesh it out to such tangible reality in our minds that it feels real. Because, as some of us have been taught, and others of us have certainly heard, that what we focus on becomes our reality.

If that is true, then this balancing act between the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces at this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, is all about bringing whatever is in your imagination, as a dream, or as a longing (Pisces & Neptune), into the tangible, earthy realm that is our everyday, practical lives (Virgo).

Virgo, where the Sun is now, is about analysis, compartmentalizing, and perfecting, and it is grounded earthy energy that functions best in the reality of the material world. Pisces, where the Moon is now, is about everything that is opposite to that – it is the urge to blend and merge into One with no distinctions. It is beauty, compassion, empathy, and spirituality. It doesn’t exist to make sense of the tangible; it exists to transcend the tangible and enter a state of Bliss. And this Pisces Moon has Neptune sitting right beside it, in Communion with our feeling natures, deepening us, opening us, priming us for Beauty.

Remember, where we put our focus grows and becomes our reality. If, during this Eclipse tonight, and hopefully during the next two weeks until the second Eclipse on Oct. 2, you focus on what is loving, what is beautiful, and what inspires Awe within you, you may get more of that as your reality going forward. It will perhaps require letting go of personal doubts and fears, or seeing the path around obstacles, rather than simply seeing the obstacles themselves. And that is so very doable.

So, to answer the call of this very Neptunian Lunar Eclipse, I suggest that you surrender to your Spiritual Nature and engage in your Spiritual Practice, whatever that is. Surrender to the call to love, to beauty, to your Infinite Self. Meditate. Pray. Be willing to be porous! Go outside and commune with the natural world. Paint. Dance. Sing. Do that thing that always makes you feel closest to Source. If you don’t know what that is, this is an ideal time to find it. Open your heart to wonder. Let yourself feel the Awe of what it means to be Human. Let yourself be inspired to see life with open, compassionate, and loving eyes… even yourself.

Thank you so much for joining me for this Eclipse energy. And as always, may you bloom into the fullness of your cosmic promise. May the kindness that you give always be returned, and may you find peace and joy in the eternal dance of the Universe.

With love, Michelle

P.S. Think about what was going on in March/April and September of 2015. That year we had Eclipses in almost exactly the same place as these Eclipses tonight and on Oct. 2. See if you can find a thread or a narrative that ties then with now. Is there something that began then that it’s time to release? Time to let go of? Is there a way in which you’ve grown beyond whatever that was, and are now ready to embrace something new in its place? Give yourself the time and space to ponder this during this Eclipse Season.

MEDITATING WITH THE NEW MOON – Thursday, May 25, 2017 – 3:44 PM Eastern

NEW MOON IN GEMINI
As with every New Moon, this one marks the beginning of a fresh new cycle. Because the Moon is so close to Earth giving us a Super New Moon – even though we can’t see her when she’s new – your responses may be stronger, the pull greater. During a Super Moon, due to the closeness of Luna to the Earth, the ocean’s tides run higher, and I expect, your responses are more strongly felt as well.

Being in the sign of Gemini, this is a fertile time to engage your mind and to communicate what you think, what you learn, and what you know. Give your curiosity free reign, and allow that restless, questioning spirit to guide you to the next exciting moment, and then the next, much like a bee gathering nectar – only you’re gathering information, enjoying the experience, and banking it all mentally to use later.

If you’ve been reticent about sharing new ideas, use this New Moon to break free of whatever has held you back, and trust that this is the time to offer your ideas to others. Emotionally the energy of Gemini isn’t prone to deeply felt or “sticky” exchanges, but rather feels that the mind is the path to the heart. With that understanding, during this New Moon appeal to the minds of others, to their intellect, and watch as the seeds of knowledge and information you plant begin to take root and grow.

Sacred Energy within this Super New Moon

For those of you who watch midpoints, Neptune, the planet of Source, of connection to the Divine, is squaring the midpoint between the Sun/Moon conjunction and Mars, all in Gemini. This creates a challenge to bring spirituality and sacred flow into this new beginning, as well as mystic, visual and creative stimuli.

And for those who appreciate the inclusion of the Goddesses, later this evening the Super New Moon will connect in a lovely angle to Vesta – the Lady of Focus, the restoration of the heart, sacred sexuality, and the commitment to the Self to become whole unto the Self. During the dark of the moon this night find an opportunity to be alone to restore and rejuvenate your symbolic “virginity” or wholeness.

WORDS FOR MEDITATION
I open my mind and my words to the people around me, understanding that it is the time to engage curiosity and the intellect. I am open to expressing myself in a new and exciting way, trusting in my own intelligence. I imbue this sacred moment with the fire of my inner Divinity.

HOW TO MEDITATE WITH THE MOON

Using the simple Moon thoughts above are a wonderful way to begin a daily meditation practice that keeps you focused on, and grounded in, the emotional energy of the Cosmos each and every day.

You can do a very simple 8/4 count meditation, which means you settle into a comfortable position, close your eyes, focus on your breath, and breathe in to a slow count of 8, hold it for 4 counts, and then breathe out for a slow count of 8. Hold your breath again for 4 counts before breathing in again. On the in-breath recite a word or phrase from the Moon Meditation in your mind, focusing on that energy and holding it, and then consciously release that same energy out into the world on the out-breath. Then begin the process again on the in-breath, either using the same word/phrase you’re working with (until it feels comfortable and “right”) or move on to the next word or phrase from the Moon Meditation.

Valentine’s Day
MEDITATING WITH THE MOON – Tuesday, February 14, 2017

MOON IN LIBRA
I love that the Moon is in Libra, the sign of love and relationship, on Valentine’s Day. Not only that, but the Moon, the symbol of our emotions, our instinctive responses to life, our need to nurture and be nurtured, is connecting with both Venus, the Goddess of Love, and Mars, the God of Sex. How perfect! Throw in a connection to Mercury, and we get a day filled with the energy of expressing love and desire out loud – hopefully in a loving, balanced way. There’s also a challenge from the Moon to Juno – the Goddess of Commitment – so be sure of who, what, and why you’re committed, or not.

Let’s break it down.

Look for a balancing point between your desire nature and your need for safety and security – for love. If there’s high energy around your desires, the need to go get what you want, be sure to factor in the desires of your partner(s) (intimate, business, and otherwise). Or if you’re concerns center around what’s fair and right for everyone involved, don’t forget to factor in your own needs, your own desires. You see where I’m going. Relationship is a two-way street that demands equality and fairness for all parties, while also honoring what’s right for you and your desires – your will. Balance and compromise between Self and Other are the order of the day. One of the best ways to achieve this is to communicate. Really take a logical, clear view when listening and speaking to the Other. And fully understand your own level of commitment. With a fair and loving attitude this can be a very lovely Valentine’s Day!

WORDS FOR MEDITATION
I open my heart to the people I love with intentions of fairness and beauty. I listen to my own needs in relationship, honoring my own desires and commitments to my values. And then I compromise when necessary. I choose my battles wisely.

MEDITATING WITH THE MOON – Friday, February 10, 2017

FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE IN LEO
Eclipses intensify the energy of the moment and open a portal to emotional transformation. Today’s eclipse illuminates a need to balance between standing back objectively, with fully participating and engaging; between logic with instinct; the demands of the ego with the desires of the heart. This Moon enlightens you toward understanding that the way to freedom is by springing from the structures that ground and support you, while also breaking free of the structures that limit and deny you. This full moon shines awareness on building a foundation of wisdom to stand upon firmly as you reach toward being uniquely who you are… it asks you to combine the conventional with the unconventional – to integrate integrity with the energy of the catalyst. How do you live both? The solution is found via your heart – through generosity of spirit and being willing to take a risk. Create from the place of the unrestrained joy of a child. Live from the certainty that comes with tapping the wisdom of the time-tested. Step back when necessary to gain an objective perspective, but remember to come back into fully engaged participation.

WORDS FOR MEDITATION
I know which of my structures are sound and true and wise, and which are based on fear and denial.
I create and participate joyously and from love because I am grounded in strength and wisdom.
I am liberated from old constrictions and free to live my unique purpose.
I am in right timing with both my objectivity and my participation.

MOON IN CANCER
Despite any unforeseen challenges or power plays, despite any blasts from the past or the need to make internal adjustments to cleanse your metaphorical palate, there is healing to be done. There are examples of compassion to be performed. And there is the passion of your heart to focus on. Focus with wonderful intensity on fanning the flame of your heart’s desire. If you haven’t been in that space for awhile… remember.

I focus on what makes my heart sing. I burn for the passion of my heart without wavering.

MOON IN GEMINI then CANCER
Take the challenge to bring you heart, your actions, and your values into alignment. Feel your way through love by being both sensitive and a champion – protective and a trailblazer into uncharted emotional territory, even if it seems a little scary. Take direct action for your values, especially with family and loved ones. Feel. Talk. Act.

MOON IN ARIES
The collective emotional current is spontaneous, exciting, and forward pushing – willing to act and to take a risk. Things can feel erratic, ungrounded, and perhaps primed for a fight, or an adventure. Emotional reactiveness is possible, so be sure to inject some logic and reason into the environment. There are opportunities to be created through actions of courage for the greater good.
