The Beauty You Heal – A Full Moon in Libra Reflection

As this luminous Libra Full Moon rises and Venus shifts forward in the sky, you may find yourself caught between the ache of old wounds and the longing for grace. On April 12 at 8:22 PM EDT, the Libra Full Moon 2025 rises as Venus stations direct in Pisces, ushering in beauty, balance, and hope. Opposing the Sun conjunct Chiron in Aries, this lunation reveals relational wounds and inner truths. A powerful time for contemplation, healing, and choosing peace over perfection.

The Moon opens to the perfection of her Sun’s reflection just forty minutes before Venus begins her forward motion. This is no ordinary moment of lunar fullness. It is a cosmic sigh. A letting go. A hopeful love letter to beauty and balance, delivered right as Venus herself turns her gaze forward again.

At the heart of this lunation is a provocative opposition between the Moon in Libra and the Sun conjunct Chiron in Aries. Here, Libra’s deep longing for harmony is mirrored and challenged by Aries’ raw need to assert individuality—especially where wounds have been left untended. A balance between cooperation and self-motivation is the a-ha! that Libra quietly craves, and Aries boldly insists upon.

Chiron invites awareness of where you’ve been hurt in relationship. Libra asks: “What if you could move from that wound with more grace than you thought possible?” Venus’ return to forward motion in Pisces lends a subtle spiritual influence—she forms a semi-sextile to the Sun and Chiron, hoping you’ll opt to create a compassionate bridge from self-healing to reconnection. But the Moon’s quincunx to Venus suggests it might not be entirely comfortable. Some readjustment is required. It’s an invitation to realign your values, not just in romance, but in all the ways you relate.

This Full Moon asks:

  • What wounds are still shaping how you show up with others?
  • What inner beauty do you still withhold because of those wounds?
  • And are you finally ready to release the mask of harmony to live in true peace?

Identify your Muse, and allow yourself to breathe gently into their arms. Not to start something new—but to return to what you’ve always known. That beauty begins in relationship with your own soul. That balance is not stillness, but movement in rhythm. That healing is an art form.

Tonight, under Libra’s golden gaze and Venus’ forward glance, allow yourself to become the art. Let go of the pretense. Keep the beauty. Forgive the wound. And choose peace—not because you have to, but because you finally can.

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo – Perfecting Your Vision During this Time of Uncertainty

In the hushed hours before dawn tomorrow, March 14, 2025, at 2:56 AM Eastern Daylight Time, we collectively experience a Total Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in the late degrees of Virgo. This marks the first Eclipse this year, and it is made quite powerful by very close alignments with:

  • The North and South Nodes of the Moon which are about balancing Karma and Dharma – your past and your future – your comfort zone with what you’re meant to be stretching toward, which probably feels a little scary.
  • Saturn who symbolizes building a new solid foundation, your ambition, and your absolute AUTHENTICITY of Self.
  • Chiron who asks “where do you belong now?” And who let’s you know it’s time to heal your past and move on to a wiser, more integrated version of you.
  • Uranus, who requires you to live out your one-of-kind unique characteristics, and insists that it’s time for a huge paradigm shift. If you haven’t offered up your quirky, outside-the-box talents, the rest of us are missing them and need you to bring them forth.
  • And Neptune, who fuels your imagination, your inspiration, your connection to beauty, and who pushes you to reach for the Divine in Self and Other, all with unconditional love and acceptance.

This Lunar Eclipse is a powerful moment of culmination and release, in anticipation of birth and renewal heralded by the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries on March 29.

This Virgo energy invites you to enter this Eclipse Cycle by evaluating what is being illuminated for you right now. Is this glowing reflected light bringing clarity and consciousness to something you’ve been envisioning or dreaming about for some time? Is your dream coming into clearer focus? This full-moon moment of culmination is about celebrating what has been achieved and what WILL be achieved, and releasing what no longer serves. This practice creates a psychological and emotional gateway to new beginnings.

Virgo Glyph
Glyph for Virgo

One of the beautiful things about the energy of the Virgo/Pisces Axis (the Full Moon is in Virgo, opposing the Sun and many other planets in Pisces) is the potential to bring balance between the dream and reality – helping to push the vision in your head into tangible reality. Virgo energy assists you in pulling the seed from your imagination and planting it into the fertile soil of earthy manifestation. And she loves doing that. Virgo’s focus is to serve.

Part of the energy of this Full Moon Eclipse is the connection between Uranus and Saturn, making it clear that you are inhabiting a time when your foundation isn’t as solid as you’ve believed. And this uncertainty leaves you open to all kinds of possibilities that you probably haven’t encountered or thought about before. As long as you can be flexible of emotion, spirit and mind, this can be an incredibly fertile place to occupy, showing you multiple avenues of potential as you process the best ways to move forward.

The Virgo Moon and South Node asks you to call on previously honed powers of discernment and analysis, so that you can make sense of all the possibilities that are lining the road to the future. All those planets currently in Pisces are opening you up to so many visions of possibility and inspiring you toward so many dreams! But with this Lunar Eclipse, the Virgo Moon and South Node also lend you the capacity to say “yes, this” and “no, that.” Virgo’s energy is naturally aligned with reality, and with the capacity to judge what’s useful now. Virgo energy inherently knows what is most likely to grow and ripen to maturity so that it can be harvested when the time is right. The Virgo Full Moon can help you choose what to plant and grow, and she will direct you to the most nourishing choices for your body, mind, and spirit. Choosing wisely means that your health and well-being will be maintained and honed to perfection – or as close to perfection as possible. Once again, Virgo functions in service to who you are.

This Total Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo is truly a cosmic reset, urging you to release what no longer serves you and align with your higher purpose. It’s a time to TRUST YOURSELF, trust the process, embrace change, and step into a new chapter with clarity and intention. Use this Virgo energy to bring your dreams and visions into tangible reality so that your creative imagination serves us all. We need you, and the world will be better for your offerings!

Surrender to the Beauty of the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces – Sept. 17, 2024

I’m having so many feelings about this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces tonight at 10:34 PM Eastern. I suppose that’s very appropriate for a lunation that’s super infused with the energy of Neptune.

Many are talking of the dramatic transformative energies of this Eclipse. Some see it as a portal. Others mention a paradigm shift. And while all of that is quite true, I’m feeling this energy as something shimmering and intangible that allows us a glimpse of the Sublime. A glimpse of something that is so filled with beauty that it inspires Awe. This is the highest possible vibration of both Pisces and Neptune, the planet that rules Pisces. This Eclipse can offer, if we open ourselves to it, at least a fleeting recognition of Self and Other as perfectly Divine.

Eclipses accelerate and intensify the energy that we occupy; the goals and achievements we’re working toward or longing for; the changes we want to make. I want to suggest that, if only for one night, we fully step into the dream and flesh it out to such tangible reality in our minds that it feels real. Because, as some of us have been taught, and others of us have certainly heard, that what we focus on becomes our reality.

If that is true, then this balancing act between the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces at this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, is all about bringing whatever is in your imagination, as a dream, or as a longing (Pisces & Neptune), into the tangible, earthy realm that is our everyday, practical lives (Virgo).

Virgo, where the Sun is now, is about analysis, compartmentalizing, and perfecting, and it is grounded earthy energy that functions best in the reality of the material world. Pisces, where the Moon is now, is about everything that is opposite to that – it is the urge to blend and merge into One with no distinctions. It is beauty, compassion, empathy, and spirituality. It doesn’t exist to make sense of the tangible; it exists to transcend the tangible and enter a state of Bliss. And this Pisces Moon has Neptune sitting right beside it, in Communion with our feeling natures, deepening us, opening us, priming us for Beauty.

Remember, where we put our focus grows and becomes our reality. If, during this Eclipse tonight, and hopefully during the next two weeks until the second Eclipse on Oct. 2, you focus on what is loving, what is beautiful, and what inspires Awe within you, you may get more of that as your reality going forward. It will perhaps require letting go of personal doubts and fears, or seeing the path around obstacles, rather than simply seeing the obstacles themselves. And that is so very doable.

So, to answer the call of this very Neptunian Lunar Eclipse, I suggest that you surrender to your Spiritual Nature and engage in your Spiritual Practice, whatever that is. Surrender to the call to love, to beauty, to your Infinite Self. Meditate. Pray. Be willing to be porous! Go outside and commune with the natural world. Paint. Dance. Sing. Do that thing that always makes you feel closest to Source. If you don’t know what that is, this is an ideal time to find it. Open your heart to wonder. Let yourself feel the Awe of what it means to be Human. Let yourself be inspired to see life with open, compassionate, and loving eyes… even yourself.

Thank you so much for joining me for this Eclipse energy. And as always, may you bloom into the fullness of your cosmic promise. May the kindness that you give always be returned, and may you find peace and joy in the eternal dance of the Universe.

With love, Michelle

P.S. Think about what was going on in March/April and September of 2015. That year we had Eclipses in almost exactly the same place as these Eclipses tonight and on Oct. 2. See if you can find a thread or a narrative that ties then with now. Is there something that began then that it’s time to release? Time to let go of? Is there a way in which you’ve grown beyond whatever that was, and are now ready to embrace something new in its place? Give yourself the time and space to ponder this during this Eclipse Season.

What’s Being Eclipsed in Your Emotional Life? Full Moon Lunar Eclipse Aug. 7, 2017

Lunar-Eclipse-Earth-Between-the-Sun-and-Moon
August is Eclipse Season!
Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius on Aug 7, 2017
Total New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo on Aug 21, 2017

Eclipse Season is here, with today being the first of two eclipses this month. At 2:11 PM Eastern on August 7, 2017, the Moon is full at 15 Aquarius, which means the Moon is in Aquarius and the Sun is directly opposite at 15 Leo – and we are, Earth is, in-between the Sun and Moon, with the Earth casting a shadow on the Moon. Isn’t that interesting to think about? The Earth casting a shadow over the Moon…

I love the image above that gives a pretty amazing visual of how that happens. This eclipse is a partial eclipse, so the shadow over the Moon will only cover a small portion of her face, a lot like the very cool image below.

Read on with the understanding that the Full Moon is about harvesting whatever you planted before (which certainly smacks of Karma), and that eclipses are disruptive harbingers of change – and that change lasts over a nice little chunk of time, not just on the day of the eclipse.

The Full-Moon is always about culmination – what has been building up to now that’s reaching its fullness – where we are ripe. There may be a sense of closure (or the resistance to a closure), or the need for a transition. When the flower blooms or the fruit is ripe – well, it’s gorgeous, but it is near the end of its beauty and its life. The Eclipse serves to intensify the experience of the possibilities of endings. What’s culminating now is something that possibly began as long ago as 1998/1999, or 2008/2009, or as recently as this past Feb. 2017 if we’re thinking in terms of short term intentions.

Let’s think about what this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse means in your life. The Moon represents your emotions, your instincts, your family and your home – she is all things nurture and mother oriented, and she represents women in general. When she is eclipsed, it’s possible that these are the arenas of life that are coming to fullness, but we have to reach back into the past, or into the dark for answers. The shadow side of who you are in terms of these areas can be intensified and this intensification is the prequel to a letting go or a transition, because whatever the lesson, it is culminating.

With the Moon in the sign of Aquarius, the sign of logic and reason, there’s emphasis on being liberated from something – or on being independent and unique – or of breaking your status-quo, whatever that may be. We are emotionally attuned to that Aquarius type of “individualistic” energy – and since it’s opposite Leo, the sign of the heart, perhaps part of the process here is to balance when and how to step back, with when and how to engage. This eclipse can serve to highlight the difference between logic and heart, and how you may be fostering one of those over the other. With any opposition, and the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse is the mac-daddy of oppositions, the key is balance.

It’s probably close to impossible NOT to know that there is a Total Solar Eclipse coming our way on Aug. 21. You have 2 weeks left to prepare what your new beginnings will be as you’re in the throes of pondering what you’re leaving behind… and those new beginnings revolve around being loving, listening to your heart, and engaging with others (and your inner child) in real way. That’s because the Solar Eclipse is in Leo… So leading with your heart (Leo), yet still engaging the genius in your head (Aquarius.)

If you now your birthchart look to see which houses involve Leo and Aquarius – these are the areas of your psyche and your life that are being powerfully impacted by both eclipses this month – the effects of which will be much longer.

I wish you clarity, balance, and love!

Eclipse Facts:

Eclipses always occur 2 weeks apart, one at the New Moon (Solar Eclipse) and one at the Full Moon (Lunar Eclipse). These 2 eclipses create an “eclipse season.” Sometimes the Solar Eclipse is first in the season, and sometimes the Lunar Eclipse is first.

There is an “eclipse season” every 6 months.

A Lunar Eclipse will not be visible in the part of the world where it is day.

A Solar Eclipse will not be visible in the part of the world where it is night.

The Sagittarius Full Moon – again! – and the Summer Solstice of June 20, 2016

Couple-overlooking-mountains-with-moon-and-balloons

Welcome to the second Full Moon in Sagittarius (7:02 AM EDT today, June 20, 2016) in a row… that’s pretty unusual! This Moon is called The Strawberry Moon, signifying to our early Native Americans that it was time to pick ripened fruit. (Maybe we can use that symbolism metaphorically. What ripened fruit is it time for you to pick?) This Full Moon also occurs at the 29th degree of Sagittarius, with the Sun at the 29th degree of Gemini, which is a very special degree. Add to that the Summer Solstice beginning today when the Sun moves into Cancer at 6:34 PM EDT, and we have very exciting energies to explore!

There are several different ways to come to this Full Moon. First I invite you to think back to 6 months ago, specifically Dec. 11, 2015, when the Moon was New in Sagittarius. Can you remember anything that you may have been excited or anxious about? Anything you were just beginning or making decisions on? Today is a culmination of that time, a moment of en-lighten-ment around whatever was going on in your life then. I also invite you to look back to a little over a year ago – May 2, 2015. This was the last Sagittarius Full moon until last month’s  (on May 21) – so we’ve come a full year’s cycle since then. What has occurred for you emotionally during the past year? Track back and really think about what has come to fruition for you, and whether you have evolved in meaningful ways emotionally – perhaps pushing past boundaries and creating higher, broader parameters, which is what the Sagittarius Moon requests of us. Or perhaps you’ve devolved? In which case, you have another opportunity to become unstuck and get moving.

With-this-fiery-MoonSecond, this Full Moon in Sagittarius at the critical 29th degree seems to be highlighting relationships pretty “loudly.”  With this fiery Moon in opposition to Venus, the planet of all things “love” and the ways of being that go with it, there’s an immediate understanding that this lunar event impacts us where we relate to others. Add to that a square to Chiron, our friendly karmic relationship indicator, as well as a trine to Juno, who wears the crown of symbolizing relationship from a karmic commitment perspective, and we have a relationship karmic cocktail. Juno, amazingly, is also at that 29th degree – of Libra in her case – which just happens to be the sign of, you guessed it, relationship. That critical 29th degree carries the energy of taking a new direction, sometimes in a completely unexpected way that belies our past ruminations and carefully laid plans. (And don’t get me wrong, I’m thinking positive here!) Degree 29 can carry a fated quality to it, and sometimes has us feeling a bit out of control. So there can be questions around our commitments, or, and better, opportunities to refresh them!

One other ally in this cosmic lunar posse pushing us to “clean” our love auras is Uranus – that feisty renegade who calls it like he sees it, and breaks down the status quo. So at this Saggy Full Moon, I’m imagining there may be some culminating moments providing us opportunities to clear our love alliances, particularly those with whom we carry karma. There can be enormous healing during this Full Moon energy… healing that allows us to attend to our loved ones with more acceptance of their uniqueness. Healing that opens the doors of the past and the future, asking us to balance our need for freedom and independence within relationship with our deep caring and devotion of our loved ones. This isn’t the time to be proud or stubborn, but a time to talk, to risk the truth, to stand by our commitments in a more faith-ful way, in order to create something more authentic – something that feeds our vitality and our emotional health. For many, I know there’s a whole lot of YUMMY that can happen with this Full Moon…

Thirdly, Mercury is also at 29 degrees in this Full Moon chart… and it’s creating a trigger point to the Saturn / Neptune square. How does this land? We need to talk. We need to talk about what makes us feel safe and secure. We need to talk about what confuses us, and about our pasts – not to create an environment of judgement, but to create an environment of acceptance and grace. Let’s get past the fears and anxieties that are holding us back (Saturn), be open about our dreams and our vision for the future (Neptune), and create a goal for our compassion – a goal for our spiritual evolution. And then make a commitment to it! You know what happens when we make a real commitment. All heaven and earth move to support it… And with Jupiter also involved in this mix, we can truly benefit from positive thinking here.

One-World-One-Love-One-Community-Global-Hands-HeartFourthly (and I’m about to get political) I like to think of Sagittarius as being “the citizen of the world.” That’s the phrase that Banzhaf & Haebler use in the book Key Words for Astrology as the by-line for Sagittarius. “The citizen of the world.” That’s always stuck in my mind. In the past 30 days we’ve been sandwiched between two culminating points – two Full Moons in the sign Sagittarius – highlighting who we are as citizens of the world. And with the deadliest mass shooting in the history of our country just behind us, we are left pondering – at least I hope we are – how we go about being better citizens of our world. Perhaps that’s the reason we’ve had two Sagittarius Full Moons in a row… so that we must use this emotionally charged energy to become wiser citizens of the world – to become righteous about gun control despite previous blocks preventing that effort, to become higher minded around, and more tolerant of, those who have different lifestyles. The 15-hour gun control filibuster on the the Senate floor this past Thursday, led by Senator Chris Murphy, is a perfect example of Sagittarius energy “having enough” and “stump thumping” to make a point of justice. And sadly, the horrific actions of the shooter are also an example of the lowest possible vibration of Sagittarius at work – being so self-righteous and filled with the fervor of your cause that you take life, feeling somehow justified in your actions. The shooting and the filibuster occurred between 2 Sagittarius Full Moons, the second one at the critical 29th degree – meaning we’ve reached a critical turning point, and while we may not follow any plans we’ve previously put in place, and we may be feeling overwhelmed – we know we must go in a new direction. Fate is in play here, and that new direction must have greater meaning and a higher purpose, and point us toward freedom and justice – for everyone – as we move forward. All Sagittarian qualities. (An interesting point: the 1:58 AM chart for the Orlando shooting, when the first gunfire was heard, has THE SAME DEGREE – 29 degrees Sagittarius – on the MC – the most elevated point in the chart, which is the angle that shows how we see that moment in the greater world. Blows my mind.)

The key here is meaning… what expanded awareness and meaning can we derive from these events, and how do we move positively forward with that meaning? And how do we derive wisdom from something so horrifying? The comedian Hasan Minhaj addressed members of the press and members of Congress at the 72nd Annual Radio and Television Correspondents’ Association Dinner this past Wednesday evening – 3 nights after the shooting. He said something in his address -a very Sagittarius address I might add – that seems to push us toward the higher vibration of Sag – striving for higher things, and expanding our awareness. He said, “Stuff like this (the mass shooting) is going to continue to happen unless we recognize that civil liberties are an all or nothing game. A rising tide lifts all boats. It’s not pick or choose. So whether you like it or not, we all have to step up and fight for each other – otherwise the whole thing is a sham.” A “rising tide” pulled by these Sagittarius Moons. That’s what I’m thinking. It all seems quite a bit zeitgeist-y.

(If you want to see comedian Hasan Minhaj’s full address click here. The first 18 minutes are funny in a “roast” kind of way. The famous 5 minutes begin at 18:16 – but watch the whole 23 minutes if you can.)

Fifthly – Happy Summer Solstice! The Solstice officially happens at 6:34 PM when the Sun moves into the sign of  Cancer. As the longest day of the year, with more hours of sunlight than any other, most of us wait all year for this special day. It’s the FUN time of year! But as I mentioned previously, this Sagittarius Full Moon occurs at 29 degrees. The 29th degree of any sign is known as a “critical degree” or the “anaretic degree” meaning we’re coming to the end of one way of being and moving into another – a complete change of direction. Sometimes that change feels fated, or out of our control, but the change needs to happen. So as you’re soaking in the sun, soak in the meaning of this Full Moon as you think about your Summer. How will you be changing directions? What is your highest calling? Toward what direction will you be shooting your arrow of intent, and where will you be seeking meaning and purpose? This bright moon, this enlightened moment, is the perfect time to answer these questions.

P.S. It’s interesting to have a Full Moon in Sagittarius – the sign connected with the Winter Solstice – the shortest day of the year – on the longest day of the year! Here we are in the fullness of Summer with the Sun at it’s highest point (in the Northern Hemisphere), while the emotional energy around us is reminiscent of the shortest. Hhhhhhmmmmm. That just occurred to me – not quite sure what to do with it yet, but I’m thinking.

Full Moon in Virgo Today, March 5, 2015, 1:05 PM Eastern – The Light of Love

Virgo-Pisces-Full-Moon

I’ve been thinking of this Full Moon in Virgo from a spiritual perspective because of the very strong Pisces elements involved… The Virgo Moon is a very earthy and practical energy, and today it is opposite the Sun in Pisces, which is flanked by Chiron and Neptune, also both in Pisces. One way of looking at all that heavy emphasis on Pisces/Neptune is Universal Love or Christ Consciousness. For those of us really connected into this Full Moon, our intuition can be heightened and our loving compassion strongly roused, while emotionally we want surety… i.e. to read the instruction manual and ask for directions before setting out on the journey. Two obviously very different energies to balance.

But there is a flavor of loving service, and healing cosmic/karmic wounds to both sides of this Virgo/Pisces coin, and that’s where my mind is wandering…

Here are some key phrases to get you connected to this lovely moment:

*your spiritual center

*being in service as a mentor and guide

*receiving guidance

*bringing light to your purpose as a divine spark of infinite love

*healing wounds through opening the heart to love

*using discernment and attention to details as your guide

*bringing balance between flowing and defining

*being found after being lost

Dichotomies that may come to light that need balancing:

Victim vs. Savior (with a splash of Martyr on either side)

Order vs. Chaos

Reality vs. Dreams

Practicality vs. romanticism

Details vs. Vastness

Control vs. Addiction

And maybe all some of us want to do with this energy is to clean up a bit and then plan, prepare, and eat a lovely meal with a gorgeous bottle of wine while we get lost in a novel, movie, or book of poetry – or a great love… 🙂

First Full Moon of 2015 – Full Moon in Cancer – Anchor to the Past as We Push to the Future

"This Full Moon in Cancer is a glorious moon - ripe and juicy with the fruit of the past, and pregnant with the potential of the future."

“This Full Moon in Cancer is a glorious moon – ripe and juicy with the fruit of the past, and pregnant with the potential of the future.”

Tonight, January 4, 2015, is first full moon of The New Year. Such a special light! Such a bitter-sweet reflection!

This full moon happens in Cancer, the sign of the past, of Mother, of nurture, of family history and ancient connection – of holding fast to the blood that binds us.

I’m feeling this moon as a strong pull compelling me to remember where I come from and what is important to hold onto from the past, just as I’m poised to make a powerful, intense, and totally fresh thrust toward the future – mending or purging relationships as needed – pressing my face bravely toward the winds of the unknown and the untried – bracing for the unexpected, while I stand true in the knowledge of my roots and my integrity.

This Full Moon in Cancer is a glorious moon – ripe and juicy with the fruit of the past, and pregnant with the potential of the future.

Feel it all.

For those who speak Astrologese, my words come from the symbolism of the Moon in Cancer in opposition to the Sun/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn, both of which complete a Grand Cross to the South Node conjunct Uranus in Aries in opposition to the North Node in Libra. This Full Moon triggers the Cardinal Grand Cross from this past April, including the Uranus/Pluto square that was exact for the 6th time on Monday, Dec. 15, 2014. One more exact Uranus/Pluto square coming up in March 2015. Incredibly powerful stuff.

Mercury is Definitely Retrograde…

Mercury-Statue

As most of you know, Mercury is definitely Retrograde.

The Retrograde was initiated this past Thursday with Mercury in Pisces in a tight connection to Neptune... some challenging areas to be aware of during this period of time are self-delusion, understanding what you want to understand rather than what is actually being communicated, excessive sensitivity, and feeling victimized. Areas of strength to operate within are your spiritual practice, allowing your imagination free reign, and connecting to your intuition and your sense of empathy and compassion.

As Mercury moves back into Aquarius on the evening of Valentine’s Day, it will be opposite the Full Moon in Leo. Think about that for a second – the Full Moon in Leo will be trying to come to balance with a Retrograde Mercury. Hhhhhmmmmm. Add to the mix that the Sun, Moon and Mercury are all connecting to Saturn (in a challenging configuration) and to Mars (easy flow) and you get a bit of a interesting mix of energies. My take is that we could get a little fixed in our attitudes and perhaps come up against that same emotional mindset in someone else… perhaps with a few fireworks. The point though may be to illuminate somewhere you’ve been stuck and, one way or another, help you out of it.

For those born between 1957 and early 1962, this Mercury Retrograde is going to transit across your natal Chiron – or get very close to it. If you know the house of your natal Chiron (it’s going to be in late Aquarius or early Pisces) that will help you navigate. Look to that house and how it’s aspected to other natal planets for areas due a bit of mending and restoring.

Wherever Chiron is, it’s to do with your karmic wound – and this Mercury Retrograde trigger could bring stuff up around that wound – maybe offering opportunities to talk about it, heal it, review it – or provide you with chances to help someone else with their wounds. When these issues come up, don’t flinch and push them back down. The beauty of Mercury R is that really fantastic material can arise from the deep psyche and the unconscious self. Take advantage of that.

Remember that Mercury Retrograde is a time for the “1-step back” part of the natural “2-steps forward, 1-step back” process… so take the time to review, reflect, and refine what you’ve already put in motion rather than being in hot pursuit of something entirely new.

Relax! This is nature’s gift telling you to slow down and engage in your internal navigation… there’ll be time for pushing forward again soon!

THE STATS: This particular Retrograde began Thursday, Feb 6, 2014 with Mercury at 3 degrees of Pisces and will run through Fri. Feb. 28, 2014 with Mercury going back to 18 degrees of Aquarius. The shadow period, that 16 to 21 day period after the Retrograde when Mercury is making its way back to the point where it first started its backwards trek, ends on March 21, 2014.
